World Tourism Expo 2016 comes to Bulawayo


The Sanganai/Hlangani World Tourism Expo is back for yet another year, but this time with a new and exciting venue. The 2016 event sees people from all around the globe congregating in Zimbabwe’s second biggest city Bulawayo. This annual Tourism Trade Fair showcases the widest variety of Africa’s best tourism products, and attracts locals in the industry, media and international guests alike. The event will take place at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Grounds from the 16th to the 18th of June, and promises to be a weekend to remember.

The Fair is the successor of the Zimbabwean International Travel Expo (ZITE) known as Shanyai/Vakatshani. The Shanyai/Vakatshani was held annually at the Harare International Conference Centre and it has risen to be one of Africa’s leading tourism showcases in its 25 years of existence.

In the past, the Sanganai/Hlangani World Tourism Expo has been a great success. Each year the event attracts countries like South Africa, Botswana, Malaysia, China, Zambia, Malawi, Kenya, Indonesia, and Italy to name a few. It’s the perfect opportunity to see leading African destinations and important international tourism markets all in one place.

The Zimbabwe International Trade Fair is equipped with world class facilities and enjoys an easily accessible location in the Bulawayo CBD. The 17 hectares of exhibition area is made up of six exhibition halls, hundreds of individual pavilions, as well as open-air facilities.
