Zambezi River Photoblog

The magnificent Zambezi River is one of Africa’s major attractions – existing as a life source for endless people, plants and wildlife, and boasting a wide range of exciting activities to travellers in several countries. The fourth largest river in Africa, it flows through six countries, moving from the Zambian highlands to the Indian Ocean in Mozambique.

Most notably, the river flows over the mighty Victoria Falls, one of the Natural Wonders of the World, and a World Heritage Site. Along its 2500km course, it also flows into the Barotse Floodplain, Lake Cahora Bassa, and Lake Kariba – the world’s largest man-made lake.

To provide you with a glimpse of the marvel that is the Zambezi River, we’ve put together a few of our favourite images.
