Cresta President, Gaborone


The Cresta President Hotel was the first hotel of of its type to be built in Gaborone, in 1966. The hotel has been modernised through the years to keep up with the times, and is fully equipped to cover the needs of even the most discerning of business traveller. From the highly functional conferencing facilities, to the 92 beautifully appointed rooms, the standout among Gaborone hotels is the ideal setting for a home away from home – its close proximity to the government enclave and corporate business parks, as well as its central location, make it a particularly convenient choice. Moreover, the hotel is also situated close to Gaborone’s many tourist attractions.

The President’s comprehensive conferencing facilities comprise three different venues – Brigadier, Full Brigadier and Boiketlo – which can accommodate varying numbers of guests depending on the way in which the seating is arranged. Conveniently, each room can be easily adapted for social occasions such as weddings, banquets and cocktail parties. The rooms, which include smoking or non-smoking options, offer amenities including satellite television, Wi-Fi, room service and tea/ coffee making facilities.

The Terrace Restaurant can seat up to 140 people and serves a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, with the option of à la carte for those who would prefer it. The restaurant has earned acclaim for the traditional local dishes that are served on Wednesdays and Fridays. Interestingly, in order to become more environmentally friendly, the hotel recently upgraded its guest and service lifts in order to use less electricity, as well as become faster and more efficient. The President’s security system has also recently been improved to enhance the safety of hotel guests.
